Privacy Policy
Effective Date: June 12, 2026
Level Lab, Inc. ("we", "us", "our") operates the Level Lab platform. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information. Your use of the platform is also governed by our End User License Agreement.
Information We Collect
We collect information you provide when creating an account, including your email address and username. For a child's account, we also collect a guardian's email to obtain and manage their consent (see Children's Privacy below). We also collect usage data such as projects you create and actions like playing, remixing, sharing, and favoriting projects. When you use AI features, we collect the prompts and inputs you submit and retain your conversation history with the AI assistant, so we can generate the assets you request and operate the service; please avoid including sensitive personal information in those prompts.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to provide and improve the platform, authenticate your identity, enable social features (following and favorites), generate AI assets you request, and communicate important updates about the service. We do not use your information for third-party advertising.
Third-Party Services
We use third-party services for authentication, data storage, and AI-powered asset generation. To generate assets, the prompts and inputs you submit are sent to AI providers that process them on our behalf to produce the output you request, under contractual terms and their own privacy policies, and may process data outside your country. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
Local Storage
We do not use cookies. We use your browser's local storage to keep you signed in and to remember your preferences. This includes the authentication tokens for your sign-in session (stored in your browser by our authentication provider), your progress through in-app guides, interface settings such as section order and audio mute preferences, and your answer to the age question. If someone enters an under-13 birthday during sign-up, the email address entered with it is kept in that browser (up to 10 addresses) so the age question cannot be answered again, and is removed once the account is set up with a guardian's code.
Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure authentication, and server-side input validation.
Data Retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the platform. You can ask us to delete your account and the associated personal information, and a guardian can delete a managed child's account at any time, which removes the associated personal information. We may retain limited information where necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.
Children's Privacy
Level Lab is designed to be safe for users of all ages, and we take extra steps for children under 13. We do not knowingly let a child under 13 create an account without a parent or guardian's involvement, and we collect only the information reasonably needed to operate the platform for them.
When someone indicates they are under 13, we do not create an account from their request alone. Instead, we collect the child's email and a guardian's email solely to contact the guardian, and we send the guardian an email asking them to set up and approve the account. The account is created only after the guardian signs in and issues an approval code that the child redeems.
For an approved child account, we collect the child's email and username, usage data (such as projects created and games played), and the prompts, inputs, and conversation history from when the child uses AI features. We use this information only to operate and secure the platform for the child -- for example, to authenticate them, save their projects, enable social features, and generate the assets they request. We do not use children's personal information for behavioral or targeted advertising, and we do not sell it.
When a child uses AI features, the prompts and inputs they submit are sent to our third-party AI providers, acting on our behalf, to generate the requested assets. A guardian who prefers that their child not use AI features, or who has questions about how these inputs are handled, can contact us.
A guardian who manages a child's account can review the child's profile and content, request correction or deletion of the child's personal information, refuse to permit further collection or use of it, and delete the child's account at any time, which removes the associated personal information.
If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information without a guardian's involvement, please contact us and we will delete it.
Your Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA, including the right to withdraw consent or object to certain processing. Guardians may exercise these rights on behalf of a child whose account they manage.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the platform.
